KC Architects planned a new building sequence for this High School, in the Park Hill School District. A new visitor parking lot and oversized drive for parent drop-off and pick-up were created. From the drive, a large formal entry place was developed to greet students as they arrived, allowing student gathering and giving the school a better sense of entry and appropriate scale. Garden walls were placed along the plaza for sitting, and pedestrian lights were placed along paths to guide visitors at night. A new building lobby space was designed around an upscaled art gallery to present student projects.
